i haven't decided which of my beans i want to bring in if at all, but i REALLY love the idea of obtaining a cool uncle. essie was actually translated into a d&d campaign i just wrapped recently with a lizarddude too!

Setting Xamã comes from a supernatural place that's its own realm, and it tends to move in and out of the mortal realm and merges with it at some point every century, only to unmerge at a later time. It's a neon shaman/tribe/city kinda feel.

Background/History Long story short she suuuuuuper fucked up as a young'n and now works for her god for all eternity bc her god is an asshole 8') Her main schtick is being a keeper of the balance, essentially she travels her realm and the mortal one to try and fix problems that could eventually undo the ties between them both. She's a shaman and also a v tired babysitter.

CR Wishes Does your character need a sassy and deadpan mother hen? Need a person to be blunt and also kind of an ass? /SHOVES MY GIRL UP FRONT Xamã will do all of this for free and more, with no prompting whatsoever! She's way past the whole "politeness" deal unless it's with work, so enjoy that. As far as for her, I'd like people to push her past her simple acceptance of "this is just how things are and even if they're shitty for me I can't change that." Making her move from beyond reticent at the idea of having her own name and freedom again would be fantastic.

Anyway, my magical sword girl OC is definitely the wrong genre fit but she's amiable and social so it might work out anyway.

Well, Auditi's primarily nocturnal! She'll also be pretty keen to hang out with someone (apparently) close to her age, having so many adults around is weird.

Passion is new so I haven't thrown her around too much yet, I may find PITFALLS YET. As of now I imagine she's mostly going to rub people the wrong way by being a very principled goody-goody.

Love and justice!!!!!!!!!!! Etc, with very high expectations for the conduct of the people close to her.

Ah yes. The principled one and the gangster one.

They'll definitely be a treat together! Especially since Hinata is very much not a goody two shoes. She'll probably be his favorite nuisance because he is grumpy and likes punching people (sometimes for no reason).

Colerus never progressed past apprenticeship, unfortunately. He could be trusted to make nails and simple gears but anything beyond that is probably trouble.

It's definitely a fun take on the genre! I can't say settings like that are super popular, but every now and then a comic or a video game pops up with those themes.

That shouldn't be a problem! Colerus likes to talk but (hopefully) won't be too overbearing.

HAHAHA, that's wonderfully ironic. iirc there's an item in the shop that lets the character retrieve something from their home world -- if Sincerity finds out about Passion's wielder's Eternal Youth potions, she'll be so keen on trying to get one into Restoria for herself! (Complete with some bullshit excuse about it making her more useful to the multiverse-saving cause, etc.)

Re: Evangeline Minet

This one has my vote! Sincerity's a retired bard idol in the Tiefling equivalent of her 70s; Evangeline will remind her of herself in her youth, and she'll love to tease her for it. I'm really into Evangeline's background and interested in seeing how it might crop up in their CR; Sincerity has few qualms about the sacrifices she might have to make to regain her youth and beauty, but those daemons sound like a price and a half...

As an aside, I think Evangeline will hate Sincerity's music style and Sincerity will think Evangeline's is super boring, so that could be fun.

Cue 70-year-old Sincerity like, "wtf, how come you get to be 200+ years old and hot?"

Again with the 200+ year old hot people, sheesh!! Sincerity will be very jealous and try to suss out if there's some way to tap into their magic so she might age so gracefully (-- or, well, de-age). (As an aside, I think it's really cool that you and your friend are apping in from the same original storyline!)

LET'S GO. they do seem to come from similar "wow the world got kind of shitty" places.

Ironically enough, Hojoon also feels that way - or at least acknowledges that there are more unsavory fox spirits than trustworthy ones. He would talk about it though.

Evangeline is definitely one of the characters I've been leaning toward most. The fact her powers would be nerfed in the game would actually be a bit of a benefit.

Also she believes that piano can be any and all types of music at the same time! She may be classically trained, but she was born and raised around her world's New Orleans, so it's not like Mozart is the only type of music she knows. Not that she...publicly performs anything outside of classical music but that's more because it's what she thinks her parents want.

Part of her growth in the game would be learning about herself as a person and that it's okay to not be exactly what her parents and others expect of her, despite all evidence to the contrary back home. I think Sincerity could be someone very interesting in helping her on that road.

And someone to be endlessly frustrated by haha.
